Sustainable Building Coordinator | Montreal
MoreReporting to the Partner Architect, this person will work with the Sustainable Strategies team and support the firm's various project teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail in their work, the ability to multi-task, synthesize information, and an interest in the various environmental certifications. The main responsibilities will include:
- Act as a project manager to ensure successful project realization, in accordance with contractual needs and objectives;
- Support the various stakeholders and internal teams in the integration of sustainable strategies and requirements of different certifications for new and existing building projects;
- Identity sustainable strategy opportunities and propose solutions for different projects;
- Produce the required technical documents for LEED, WELL, Zero Carbon and any other relevant certifications;
- Coordinate and monitor LEED, WELL, and any other relevant projects with project team members;
- Produce project analysis in accordance with LEED, WELL and other rating systems or sustainability initiatives;
- Participate in the creation of technical documents and act as an internal reference for questions related to sustainability;
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Diploma in Architecture or related field such as engineering, construction or sustainable development;
- Good at explaining the principles of sustainability strategies for different built environment or market contexts;
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills;
- Good organizational skills, thorough work and ability to work in a team;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English (we have clients in both languages);
- 2 years of experience in project managing and LEED coordination (an asset);
- Knowledge in green building rating systems and assessment, specifically LEED, WELL, Passive House or Carbon Zero, and their impact on construction projects (an asset);
- LEED or WELL Certification (an asset)
- Knowledge of Revit and different plug-ins (an asset);

Construction Estimator | Montreal
MoreUnder the supervision of a NEUF Partner Architect, the successful applicant for the position will be responsible for estimating and analyzing project costs, as well as completing construction budget proposals. The primary tasks and responsibilities required of the position are:
Responsabilités
- Read, analyze and extract relevant information from plans and specifications
- Quantify costs of materials, labour and equipment
- Perform budget estimates and verifications for change orders and amendments
- Carry out information and worksite visits
- Conduct site surveys and quantities
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
- Study and analyze submissions received and manage addenda
- Identify possible solutions and savings
- Establish the most effective strategy for carrying out the project
- Prepare estimates for submitted projects from opening to closing and ensure deadlines are met
- Following award of contract, participate in the transfer of files to the project team and continue to collaborate for estimation of amendments to the project
- In collaboration with management, carry out project post-mortem and monitor results (statistics, type of project, profitability, etc.)
- Comply with established system of document management
- Perform any other tasks related to the position
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building estimation for a general contractor
- Good knowledge of architecture and structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering
- Bilingual ability in spoken and written French and English
- Relevant experience with Uniformat standards for classification of construction specifications

Specification Writer | Montreal
MoreThe successful applicant for the position will be responsible for writing specifications under the supervision of one of the firm’s Partner Architects and the directors of its project team, in the context of professional services in architecture. The primary tasks and responsibilities required of the position are:
Responsabilities
- Analyze plans and details in order to prepare construction specifications
- Write technical descriptions and procedures for construction and fabrication of materials
- Responsible for drafting, quality control and issuance of construction specifications
- Research products and alternatives, analyze material performances and construction assemblies
- Issue addenda, directives and change orders affecting specifications
- Work closely with project teams, supporting them in researching technical information and writing technical documents and construction specifications through all project stages, including during construction
- Draft and coordinate calls for tenders, instructions to bidders and general conditions

Intermediate architectural technologist – site supervision | Montreal
MoreThe intermediate architectural technologist is part of a collaborative reporting to the Partner Architect in charge.
Responsabilités of the position include:
- Carry out site visits and/or inspections, writing reports (using Procore platform) and follow-ups
- Assess and comment on requests for payment
- Prepare and issue payment certificates
- Assess and comment on the cost of changes
- Together with the project manager, follow up on QRT/RFI with the general contractor
- Together with the project manager,coordinate changes with other disciplines
- Together with the project manager, organize and participate in team meetings
- Constitute a team resource for shop drawings and technical date sheets, together with the project manager
- Represent NEUF at weekly site meetings (followed by coordination with the architecture and interior design team/prepare meeting summaries)
