Brossard Multi-generational Center

Brossard Multi-generational Center

Emerging from a competition won in 2023, the new Brossard Multi-Generational Center establishes itself as a gathering place at the heart of a residential neighborhood.

Designed to foster community life, the center features landscaped areas, including a public square, pétanque courts, an elevated terrace, and white roofs that promote sustainability.

The complex is organized into two distinct volumes, each dedicated to a specific program:

  • A flexible event space that can host basketball and badminton courts, or transform into a performance venue equipped with a stage, control room, and dressing rooms, thanks to a movable partition.
  • A cluster of activity rooms, including billiards, a community kitchen, dance studios, multipurpose workshops, and more, all of which are tailored to meet the needs of local residents.

A glazed atrium runs through the building from Milan Boulevard to the inner courtyard. This luminous axis highlights the use of mass timber within the mixed structural system, and invites passersby to step inside and explore the interior spaces.
